Hydrocolloid Wound Dressing

Hydrocolloid dressing is a sterile, extra thin or with border, conformable dressing made from
hydrocolloids, which when in contact with the exudate, turns into a cohesive gel which helps
preserve the wound's moist microenvironment, encouraging its cleaning and healing process-
es. When used as instructed, the dressing is impermeable to water and blocks the passage of
bacteria with excellent exudate management capacity.
